As a Diplomat of the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM), Acupuncturist JK has met nationally recognized standards of competence, safety, and continuing education. He graduated from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in San Diego, the largest of 50+ schools of Chinese and East Asian Medicine here in the United States, and has been in practice in Georgia since 2014.
JK spent time working in Long Hua and Zhong Yi Hua hospitals in Shanghai. While in residence in Shanghai, he was able to study a regional herbal tradition called Gao Fang, a little known herbal tradition in the West, of which the Shanghai region is famous for.
He has spent tremendous time and resources going above and beyond the standard modern Oriental Medicine education to learn a highly diversified and effective set of unique skills to better aid his patients.
Acupuncture has gained a reputation for being a highly effective method for treating pain. Pain, however, is only the beginning. Acupuncturists refer to pain as the Branch; what lies behind the pain is referred to as the Root. JK focuses on treating the Branch by addressing the Root, or underlying cause. The Root can vary from obvious things such as injury or trauma, to emotional imbalances, malnutrition, overwork, stress, etc. In this way, Acupuncture both treats pain AND prevents it from returning.
JK specializes in Japanese Kampo Acupuncture and Fukushin Herbal Prescription – a method of abdominal palpation originating with the Chinese, and perfected by the Blind Acupuncturists of Japan.
JK sees patients age 18 and up.
