Dr. Edward Boland graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point in 1983 and the Medical University of South Carolina in 1994. He is board certified by the American Boards of Family Medicine, Preventive Medicine, and Obesity Medicine. He retired from the Army in 2011 and became the medical director of Live Healthy MD, a multi-disciplinary clinic designed to deal with the diseases associated with weight. In January of 2019, Ed opened a solo primary care practice using the Direct Primary Care payment model. Under this model, he is enjoying the freedom to provide full-service primary care and the time to develop relationships with his patients and their families.
Ed married his high school sweetheart in 1984 and they recently celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary. They have three adult children and a grandson. In his free time, Ed enjoys SCUBA diving and he volunteers as a diver with the Columbia County Dive Rescue and Recovery Team.
Dr. Boland sees patients of all ages.
