Jennifer was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA, until the age of 15 at which time her parents relocated us to Florida. Shortly after arriving she began her journey in the medical field while working in a physical therapy clinic back office. She was fortunate to learn from an amazing therapist. This early exposure solidified her passion for healthcare.
After high school, she enlisted with the U.S. Army. There she was trained as an Operating Room Specialist and later a Dental Specialist. The discipline and skills she developed during her military service profoundly shaped her career. Upon leaving the military, she continued to expand her medical expertise as a surgical technician and cross-trained as a medical assistant. Concurrently, she pursued a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration/Management with a minor in Finance from Columbia College of Missouri, graduating in 2005.
Despite a busy personal life that included marriage and raising two children, her dedication to healthcare persisted. She achieved a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Florida in 2007, became board certified in 2013. Later she earned a Doctor of Medical Sciences from Lincoln Memorial University in 2019.
Her clinical experience as a Physician Assistant is broad and diverse working in various settings, including Dermatology with a focus on MOHS skin cancer treatment, internal medicine, urgent care, family care, and pediatrics. Each role enriched her understanding and ability to provide comprehensive, compassionate care to patients.
In addition to my clinical work, she finds great fulfillment in teaching, particularly in online education — a field she is passionate about as it continues to evolve. Personally, her life is blessed with three wonderful children. Her two older children have brought the joy of five grandchildren into her life. Balancing professional aspirations with home responsibilities has been a rewarding journey.
In 2023, she ventured into entrepreneurship by opening Direct Primary Care & Wellness Center. This initiative reflects her commitment to bringing patient-focused healthcare directly back to the community, emphasizing personalized and compassionate medical care. Through this center, she strives to impact the lives of her patients positively and holistically.
