Roshini Singh, APRN*

Roshini Singh is a National Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner. Roshini obtained her Nurse Practitioner licensure with a focus in Family Medicine from the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She obtained her Master of Science degree in Nursing from Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton. She has been in the medical field for almost 10 years. Some of those years she spent working in the hospital setting on a cardiac unit.

Roshini is very passionate about preventative health care and strongly believes that if time is well-spent focusing on this aspect of care, the lives of patients will continue to stay optimal. The Direct Primary Care model gives her this valuable time with her patients.

Roshini grew up in the beautiful country of Guyana. This Caribbean nation is diverse in ethnicities. She says the best part of growing up there was that people celebrated each others’ cultural and religious occasions.

Roshini spends a lot of her free time on continuing medical education and updating herself on the best evidence-based practice to provide patients with the safest treatment plans. Apart from her time on continuing education, she spends time with her family and her brand-new daughter. Roshini enjoys teatime, yoga, and baking healthy, but delicious goods.

Lastly, Roshini believes in giving back and is ready for any opportunity that involves helping others. She has travelled to Guatemala twice for medical mission trips that entailed providing primary care services and cervical cancer screening to the indigent population. She hopes to do many more of these trips in the future.

She was past president of her Nursing Honor’s Society while completing her Masters, which gave her an opportunity to be involved in improving nursing education and helping charitable organizations.
