Dr. Betsy John

Dr. Betsy John is a board-certified pediatrician and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.  She is an Atlanta native and attended Emory University where she received her Bachelor of Science in Biology.  From there, she went to Augusta, Georgia to complete her medical degree at the Medical College of Georgia.  She completed her pediatric residency in 2004 at the New York University School of Medicine.

After her residency, Dr. John returned home to Atlanta where she worked for ten years in a pediatric practice in Tucker.  What she loves most about pediatrics is developing strong relationships with families, both parent and child.  She has a special interest in adolescent medicine but she also loves working alongside a new mom as she begins the journey of motherhood.  She is an active staff member at Northside Hospital and is also on the courtesy staff at the Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.

Dr. John lives with her husband and four children (ages 15, 13, 10, and 5).  They reside in Dunwoody, not far from where she originally grew up.  Her family recently had a year of adventure when they went traveling around the world for a year!  When she is not carpooling her children from activity to activity, Dr. John enjoys reading, running, and tennis.  She loves being a mom and finds it a blessing to share her experience both as a mother and a physician with her patients.
