She is active in the community, volunteering at her synagogue as well as helping to develop health guidelines at her children’s school. She is also on the advisory board for Community Friendship, Inc., a nonprofit psychiatric rehabilitation organization in downtown Atlanta that helps those struggling with mental illness to reclaim their independence.
Being a parent can be both beautifully rewarding and challenging. Being a mom herself has helped her to be able to provide practical and realistic advice to new parents. There is nothing like getting advice from someone who has a parent has also faced many of the same challenges. Her favorite part of daily practice is empowering new families to gain confidence and find the joy in being new parents.
